The Crafter's Cafe Challenge #214 - Birds and/or CAS with blue

I used the Cuddly Penguin from Doctor Digi's collection for my bird image.  It is pre-colored - a big help for my failing eyesight.  The sentiment is also from Doctor Digi - in a group called funny sentiments.  The image is die cut with Labels 4 by Spellbinders.  I used striped Washi tape and some paper from my stash as well as a snowflake embossing folder  to complete the card. "New" birdhouse stamp

I stopped by a yard sale on Saturday - and really had to restrain myself.  They were selling stamps (even sets) for a quarter or fifty cents!  I selected several I thought I might use - now I am kicking myself for not just getting them all and then giving them away.  This is called Neighbor Birds by Stampington.  I colored with Twinkling H2O's and watercolor pencils.  The sentiment is from SU Year Round Cheer - a set that had not even been mounted.

I will be needing some anniversary cards this month, and this cute birdhouse with the cute couple will work well.  I chose a freebie, the postage stamp heart, to go with it.  This image also gave me a chance to use the Paper Studio embossing folder featuring a number of different birds. The mats are a dark olive green.

Blue and Yellow

I had planned to spend much more time on this card, but several unexpected situation came up...
I should have made the strip of Washi tape smaller.  I used a Paper Studio embossing folder, and Several odds and ends of papers, including the DP (these were all pieces I got at a super bargain at a yard sale - looked like someone abandoned scrapbook projects and I got lots of scraps as well as a lot of real goodies.).  The image by CraftSmart is watercolored.  I will send this to a friend who raises chickens.

Image by Flonzcraft - a recent prize (Yeah!).  I think they have an Old World feel - I used Sepia ink, and a deep rust base mat - not as red as it appears here.  I lightly inked the Distressed Stripes (Cuttlebug).

A summer scene

Thanks for a sketch that accommodates a larger image.  This is a High Hopes stamp, Country Garden, colored with Prismas.  The lady bug and bird are die cuts from Cheery Lynn,  Embellishments:  a CB scroll die cut, glitter, ribbon, a jewel eye for the bird - this changes, but right now a favorite is ribbon.  DP is from a very old DCWV stack.
