Our great nephew (or is it grand nephew?) is a 2020 graduate. I was able to use paprs and embellishments from my stash. The Congrats is part of one of the first Cuttlebug die I ever purchased - many years ago! I used an unknown die to cut the base for the tag.
Congrats to all the graduates who have been experiencing such a difficult time in recent weeks.

Crafter's Cafe Challenge #220
The new challenge at the Crafter's Cafe is to use embossing, or have girls/women as a theme. I selected girls/women. The practical reason is that I needed a special graduation card for our granddaughter. The paper from DeCosse's Dynamite Doodles, In Flight, complemented the image from Julia Spiri ~Aviator Cat I also used the sentiment from the set Nothing is Impossible. I followed the suggestion of the artist and divided the sentiment - line 2 (Nothing is Impossible) is inside. Our GD likes her cat, but she will have to leave him behind as she heads for fighter pilot training in a couple of months. I used Spellbinder dies for the circles.

For USAFA grads
Next week our granddaughter graduates from the Air Force Academy. We have met several of her friends, and I want to share this card with them. I saw this Julia Spiri Aviator Cai image on Facebook, and had to have it - Granddaughter and some of her friends are headed to the AF Pilot training after graduation. The logo is from the AF site. The die cut is by Spellbinders.

Last graduation card?
Hat image by QKR Stampede; star embossing folder by Cuttlebug; scallop punch; Spellbinder circle dies; sentiment from a scrap of DP; Washi tape.
Method: I like this idea for the right edge of the card. As per sketch, I punched the scallops. I wrapped a length of Washi tape (I used 3/8 inch wide) all around the inside edge of the card - so it adds interest to both the inside and the back of the card.

Graduation Time! DT card for Challenge #296 - QKR Stampede - Anything goes
I will need a few graduation cards - this year I think they are all in June - seems like west coast graduations are later than those in the rest of the country! I find cards for college graduations are more difficult than for high school - some how the cutesy ones do not work for me! I used the image from QKR Stampede ("Cap") and printed it twice, once on white and once on dark grey. I fussy cut both, but only did the hat in grey, I adhered it to the white one - instant dimension. This was pretty easy to cut. I slit the threads in the tassel - good enough for a paper one! The Congratulations is also a QKR digi - I just roughly cut it out and edged it with a bit of ink. I found some adhesive stars so it was not too plain. The background is Cuttlebug's congratulations folder - I embossed from the side, and did the Congrats a second time, along the right hand side. This is a card that would work well for a young man.
Please join us this week for another Anything Goes challenge at QKR Stampede. You may enter as many as 3 times. There will be 2 winners of QKR digis - one for using their product, and another for any brand. The deadline is 6 p.m. EDT, on Thursday.

Graduating Bear - QKR Anything Goes Challenge 243 - DT card
This week the Anything Goes challenge at QKR Stampede has the option of Graduation. Some years I have had quite a few graduation cards to send - not so many this year. I think there is a relative graduating from the U. of Minn. so I used dark burgundy and gold for that school. The image is Graduating Bear, from the QKR Stampede digi store - colored with an aqua pen and water color pencils. I used a piece of DP for the sentiment, and backed those pieces with black cs. The background DP is from a pad called Heirloom by DCWV. A touch of black ribbon, gold mesh, and gold gems complete the card. (Tic-tac-toe /diagonal/ ribbon, bling, colored pemcils.)

Leah's Graduation
A few days ago I posted the card I made for our grandson. His sister also graduates this year - in fact, in a couple of days - so this card is already in the mail.
The folded card is 4.25x6.5. I added another fold to be able to include more images.
Bottom view:open card - embossed bg, her name and school (logo from the website); panel 2 - she has a job as assistant manager in charge of training on American Cruise line ships - she will be doing a lot of traveling! Main panel - Dearie Doll graduate, and a special verse; right panel - embossed bg with a strip from DP (believe in your Dreams) and a key sticker.
Folds: I started with a piece of cs 11x6.5. I made one valley fold at the right of about 2 in. I then folded from the left so the edge met the score line at the right. I then made a fold dividing this left panel in half. View 2 shows this left panel folded back, and view 3 shows the left panel open. Besides providing space for more images, this card can easily stand for display. I also dug into my photo boxes and made a little brag book of photos from years past. This is a good way to give young people pictures they may not own themselves - and often provides a
smile or two!

Graduation, Hal
I recently saw an example of what I call a double fold card - I am sure it has a name. Both the designer and name of the card escape me, but I wanted to try it. I think it makes for a great special occasion card and also one that allows a few extra elements - when I do graduation cards I like t include some pertinent images! In this case - the name, the year, a college logo - this is the Jayhawk from the Univ. of Kansas for those not from around here! Hal has been accepted at a vet school - hence the vet (dearie Dolls) and a scientific (!) magnifying glass sticker. I added a bit of Designer paper with appropriate words, and a computer generated verse. The almost invisible graduate is from Dearie Dolls.
This was put in the mail earlier today, and I have no other photos of the process. The base started as 4.5x11. At the right, I made a mountain fold at about 1.75. I then folded from the left, to meet the fold line at the right. the left hand section was then folded at the half way point with a mountain fold. (The section with the vet and magnifying glass fold under the section with his name (left photo) When closed, it covers half of the inner part. the embossed panel folds back and is behind the main panel when closed) The advantage is that it stands easily as a display card - and looks a bit more impressive than a regular card. Sorry I am not good at directions or photos..

Eureka DT card for May 30 - # 195, Anything goes!
The challenge this week at the Eureka Stamps blog is a favorite - anything goes - Eureka Stamps. We have a fairly large extended family, and each year there are several graduations. I try to use school colors, if possible, for the card. That used to be much easier! With the trend of do-it-yourself announcements, the colors are not so obvious, and even a Google search may not work. However, I think blue and white is right for the latest graduation! I used a blue oval for backing of the Eureka digi graduation hat (Digi 18901), then promptly covered it with the circle die cuts for the numbers! I decided to use my neglected Congratulations folder instead of a sentiment stamp - though I had selected a cool vertical congratulations Eureka Digi -in a bold font. I will use it another time. These numbers are by Cuttlebug, from the Olivia alpha set - one of my earliest die purchases. The strip of ribbon is from a July 4 collection that was buried in my drawer- the hint of fireworks is suitable for a graduation celebration also!

Graduation - Jason
I try to use school colors for graduation cards - the school represented here did not really show colors, but, judging from uniforms and the graduation invitation, I think that black and burgundy are right. You might be able to see that the top panel is burgundy, embossed with a portion of the Cuttlebug Congratulations folder. I lightly sanded this so some white will show through. I used a bit of a Spellbinder banner die to "hang" the banner with the year on it. Washi tape separates the embossed piece from the DP.

Graduation - Michelle
Last year we had nearly a dozen graduation cards - not so many grand nieces and nephews graduating this year. I still had a bit of the SandyLion DP to use, and added the SU sentiment, a chipboard embellishment, glittery string, and sequins topped with tiny gems. I used the CB embossed snowflake bg on gold metallic - I hope it looks like firework sparkles!

Adrienne's graduation
This is for our granddaughter whose hs graduation is next week end. She is graduating from Falcon HS, and will be attending the Air Force Academy - home of the Falcons! Can I say we are proud of her? (You may have already seen references to this!) I found this paper at a local store in Colorado Springs. and I found the AF logo on line. I used the CB Congratulations embossing folder, though there is not much visible. The mats are dark green and blue. The sentiment is from a library stamp by 7gypsies.

Ashley's Graduation
This is for a niece who will graduate next week - I go online to find HS and/or college logos to use, and I think these worked pretty well together. (The HS is in Fort Collins CO). I like the lovely background that results from dry embossing (Cuttlebug Congratulations) shimmery cardstock. I have a small piece of DP with diplomas and mortar boards - I added some chalk to blend in. The ribbon is two kinds - dark green and metallic edged gold. I needed some bits at the top right - I used some sparkly gems - I do have trouble getting them to work with this embossing!

Katie's graduation
This year I have made more graduation cards than the total I have made previously! This is a combo of dp, die cuts, stickers, punches, dry embossing, a bit of stamping, and sponging/ I don't think it show up well, but the silver border is dry embossed with swirls. (Note - for the "bravo" panel - I partially cut the edge using the largest Labels die - since I do not do well at all using scissors to create a shape!)
