HB, Kim

A friend saw a card with this QKR Stampede digi nurse, and asked if I would make a card for her daughter who has been a nurse for many years.  The sentiment is also QKR Stampede, and the DP is Lily of the Valley.  The sentiment is edged with ink, and distressed.  Sheer ribbon was just right for the finishing touch.

Tea Party for a wounded officer

You may have seen previous references - I try to do many of the TeaPot Party challenges at SplitCoastStampers.  Each week we may send our cards to a recipient in need of cheer.  I am late - last week's party was for a police officer seriously injured when he was run over by a fleeing criminal.  I did not have anything that worked for suggested themes, so I have used clip art - I am sure this patriotic theme will work.  I would encourage you to visit the Tea Party forum and join in to show support for this injured hero.  Teapot-Tuesdays-#447

For a Friend

I used my new Hearts embossing folder (Darice) and reds and pinks to make a card for a friend who is hospitalized. (Then I covered most of the hearts!)   The verse comes from Word Art.  I used Washi tape for the strips, and added shiny gems and a sheer pink bow. I used shimmery silver cs for the sentiment and the embossing.

Hearts and a rose for DH

I hope this is masculine enough.  Hubby is always so thoughtful - he wrote a poem and brought a rose for me (yes, already) - he always says he'd buy a million if he could.....awwwww...!1 After 58 1/2 years we just don't come up with much of anything new!
Enough of that...
I lucked out the other day as I popped in to JoAnn's - they had Darice folders at 6/$10 - this is one  that I came home with.   I had to use it.  The image came from A Day for Daisies, several weeks ago.  I colored with Brilliance ink and an aqua pen.  The tiny heart is part of the image but I cut it out and popped it up a little.  Die cuts by Spellbinders, and the heart ribbon from my stash.  I did the sentiment on the computer.

Old papers, New die; HB, Janet

I have had these papers (DP by DCWV) as well as the ribbon, Washi tape, and gold sticker strip for a long time.  The Labels2  die (small one) is not new, but the labels5 die has been in its package, unused, for a little bit.  The ODB sentiment from Music Speaks is my newest stamp set.  This card will be sent to a friend from church - who is in the choir.   What is the weather like?  Well, in our part of AZ right now it i bright and sunny but cool - most trees still have their leaves, but many look a bit sparse, like the ones on the DP.  And when I go out, I hear the birds singing.

Sympathy for Murrrel

This is for a friend whose husband passed away recently.  The butterflies are from two Soellbinder dies.  I used embossing folders by Darice (butterflies) and Cuttlebug (Victoria); some light gold ribbon and gems, and the Cuttlebug sentiment die.  I hope I have the right colors for the color challenge.

Showers bring flowers

I dusted off a set (Stampin up) that I have had quite a while, and seldom use -the fine print.  I added clouds and rain drops from Cheery Lynnvdies, and butterfly punches.  The DP is from a double sided piece, and I embossed the grey/blue sky with circles.

Hearts for an Anniversary

I kind of struggle to make anniversary cards - not too girlie, yet not too plain.  This is probably plenty feminine - oh, well...
Not quite new, but neglected - flourish die by  Die-namics; Wishing You stamps by Verve
Other:  Cheery Lynn butterfly die; Heart embossing by Sizzix; handmade paper with hearts; red, white cs

Support for friends

This will go to friends from church- both husband and wife are undergoing some health challenges and need support.  The DP (from Faith stack)  has words such as Faith, Salvation, Glory,  The Blessings and Leaves dies are CheeryLynn and the arch shape is Spellbinders - one of my very neglected die sets. The flowers are Cuttlebug, and  the "heart"paper is Paper Pizzazz.

The greatest of these is love...

I used a variety of papers - tried to make the words fit the sketch and did not really acienve this!  The verse is computer generated.  I like using this for wedding cards.

Cheery spring

For this card I used dies and a technique I do not recall using before.  The flowers/stems are part of the Cuttlebug Olivia set I have had for a LONG time  I used pattern paper (from AMuse) cut two pieces to make longer stems.  For the flowers I uaed both pattern and solid cs, wich a sparkly gem center.  The HB is Sizzix, and the circles are Spellbinders Exquisite Circles.
Note:  Does any one use those circles?  I like the look, but have trouble figuring out how to layer them.  I also find them labor intensive - some of the tiny pieces do not punch completely - and a lot of items stick to the die - I use a pin to remove them, but that is lots of poking!

White on White Christmas

Another bad scan - I am wondering if there is a printer problem.  Sorry - this is really white and not nearly so distressed!  I did distress the edges, and dry embossed the main image for more texture.  I used the snowflake EF (glittered) for the bg and embossed the banner strips with Textile.  A bit of lace adds to the vintage feel.  The sentiment is computer generated.

Blue and White Wedding

I usually like to coordinate a wedding card with the colors from the invitation.  However, I needed to add one to my stash, and the blue and white seem sufficiently generic!  I used a very new Swirls EF (LifeStyle Crafts), and some very old DP from my stash - along with Petaloo flowers I have had for some time.  The sentiment is from Verve.  I completed the look with a rhinestone, glitter and sheer ribbon - first try at shrinking the ribbon with a heat gun!  I am not sure why - I have seldom used glitter, and all of a sudden I have several glittery examples.
