What heavenly body???

I'm sorry about the bad scan - still learning a new printer - and maybe I can even graduate to photos!
I think this image by Rubbernecker, and the Art Impressions sentiment, make a classic look!!!  The dp is Rcollections, flowers by Petaloo, Pizzazz Aplenty ribbon, coloring with Prismas.

Pieced chair

I am not sure the paper piecing shows - I did the chair back and foot rest in a subtle blue, light brown and white print - maybe it was too subtle! Supplies:  Art Impressions image, chel pencils, tear drop gems, ribbon, DP, brown, white, blue cs.

Cream and White for an anniversary

I realize this probably looks more like a wedding card, but I needed one for an anniversary.  The Textile is embossed on shimmery cream cs.  The slightly darker panel is like ultra thin hand made paper - it was in a box of scraps I got at a store closing.  The doily is a laser cut, and the hearts are glittery chip board. The image is an unmarked clear stamp.

For MaryLou

It has been a while - we have just had a week of travel and visiting family - what a great Christmas, to share with family and friends.  I hope you have also had a blessed Christmas.
This is for a friend with many health problems.  The latest issue for her was back surgery - so she spent Christmas in a rehab facility.  It is a very pleasant place, but still lonely.  We had a chance to visit briefly a few days ago, and now I want to continue to do what I can to cheer her.
I used some Spellbinder dies I have had for a long time.  The blue and paisley as well as the ribbon are also from my stash.  I added the gold strips to cover an error in cutting - I suspect a few of you can relate!  The sentiment is Our Daily Bread (Faith).

Christmas tag

I need a number of tag/gift card holders for grandkids.  Since time is short, I am going for a simple design - though the letter cutting does take some time.  I have more to post later.
Embossed tree -  QuicKutz; snowflake - Recollections puinch;  letters - CB Olivia; glitter, ribbon, tiny punch.  Thanks to a couple of Design Team members for ideas and inspiration.

Merry Christmas, every one - my favorite holiday.

I should soon be finished with Christmas cards for 2012!  This stamp is Kolette Hall - I think from the $ bin at Michael's.  The dp is from Paper Studio's Faith pad, and I used a favorite tool - the Cuttlebug embossing folder (snowflakes).  More favorites are the nesties and the Spica pen (gold).
But the favorite I wish to highlight is the celebration of Christmas, and the message on this card.  This year we are looking forward to celebrating the birth of the Savior, but with heavy hearts, as we try to understand the tragedy in Connecticut.  We keep all those families in our prayers.

An angel has charge over you

This Madison Window die vanished for a while, and I am glad it is back in the fold.  I thought I would try it with the angel (SU On Angel Wings).  I will use one of the verses from the set on the inside - For He shall give His angels charge over thee to keep thee in all thy ways )Ps. 41:11).
The red is embossed with my brand new QuicKutz Woven folder, and I used one of Spellbinder's Doodles around the window.  The gold is a piece of a roll of gold mesh, with a gold ribbon added down the center.

Thanks for the Memories

I had time to complete one more card - a friend would like some thank you cards.  I got to ink up my garage sale find - SU Designer Greetings.  I got the ribbon with the stamps.    The DP is Recollections.
For this challenge, I used the sketch, then realized it has a twist - a movie or book theme.  I have in mind "Thanks for the Memories" - this is a thank you for a visit :"home".  But I suspect that old Bob Hope song is just that - a song.  Could it have been in one of his movies?  (I realize many of you are too old to know what I am talking about...LOL!).   http://sweetstopsketches.blogspot.com/

ACAD - Birthday in turquoise

I posted a weekly challenge on the Card a Day Blog thread on SCS - to use items from our stash.
I colored this flower at least a year ago - I often color images while sitting at our RV park craft shows. It gives me something to do, and I have found another bonus - I can show people that I actually create my cards - they are not from a purchased computer card program.  Can you tell that is a pet peeve?
In addition, I have had this ribbon for a while - as well as the cs and dp.
The embossing folders are Cuttlebug.  The flower is Hampton Arts.  I used Coredination for the embossing - but I did mess up and embossed the wrong side, so the color does not show through this way.  I clipped the image corners with scallop edging scissors.

Blue and Silver

After a summer of relaxing, fishing (for DH), and extreme frustration with internet connections, we are back home - and we will be connected!!!  I have missed a lot of challenges, great inspiration, and discussions, so I have catching up to do.
This is a Digi Darla image (it was a freebie several months ago) colored with chalk pencils and Twinkling H2O's, and a sentiment by Recollections.  I used the Stylized flower EF (by Cuttlebug).  The silver sticker strips are by Anita - the one at the left is actually the strip located between the regular decorative strips, that I dislike wasting.  The mat is from a large dollar store silver gift bag - and a bit more silver is the watering can.

Fishing, Catching?

I like this guy (Rubbernecker) with his bemused look - and I will have need of fishing cards this summer!  I colored with watercolor pencils. The dp is ProvoCraft, and the bg is embossed with distressed stripes.  I used a couple of stickers t the top, and die cut with Nesties.  I laced twine to add to the rustic look.

May means fishing!

For hubby especially, May brings thoughts of fishing.  He probably will not actually get the boat in the water until June, but preparations are well under way!
The spring and green are obvious, but the bling does not show well.  The flowers are grass green and covered with glitter (Petaloo).  I also used Twinkling H2O inks (with an aqua brush) so they sparkle IRL.  The image is by Penny Black, and the banner letters are the Cuttlebug Olivia set.  The green mat is dry embossed with the CB bubble folder.  I used twine for the bow and to hang the letters (by Pizzazz Aplenty).

Baby Girl Congrats

Yesterday I completed a card for a boy, and I decided to add a companion baby girl card to my inventory. I used the same Debbie Mumm papers, but in pink.  I cut apart the letters to add to the banner (for the sketch).  I usually forget to add glitter, but I did Stickle the letters and the button brads.  Ribbon and tiny pink crystals complete the card.

Floral sympathy in blue grey

I like sympathy cards in soft colors and without too many embellishments.  I felt this sketch worked well for me.  I still have lots of this DP - from a pad from Big Lots.  The image is Hampton Art, and sentiment Rubber Stampede (I really need more sympathy sentiments - I should have had a smaller one here.)  I have had my SU Stampin' Spots for a long time and most are still good.  This is Brocade Blue.  I added some clear crystals.

I chose one of the optional sketches - thttp://sundaysketchandstamp.blogspot.com/
I used a pastel blue palette:  http://stampinsistersinchrist.blogspot.com/
There are several layers: http://stamptacularsundaychallenge.blogspot.com/
