Framed, in purple and white

It seems that I need a lot of sympathy cards.  A favorite combination is purple and white.  This is a digital image from Sweet 'n Sassy, colored with watercolor pencils.  I added the Cheery Lynn butterfly, and framed with a Cuttlebug embossed frame.  The paper from my stash is Recollection and Paper Studio. The sheer ribbon is Paper Pizzazz - also some I have had for some time - a nice big roll!

Swirly pink and white

(The blotchiness is not a part of the original photo.)  For the challenge at Love's Rubber stamps we were to use ugly papers.  I have a bit of the trellis-like dp showing - actually, it probably is not really ugly, but just looks that way after I have had it in my stash for several years.  It was part of a stack (DCWV, I think) that was one of the first I purchased - I am down to one more small scrap of this print!  The scrolls are in the frame, and the floral image is by Verve.  The frame embossing folder is available at Joan's Gardens.  I also used Versafine Tuxedo black ink, and my hard working Vagabond machine - both also available there - http://www.atjoansgardens.com/.  The lattice strip is a Cuttlebug die.
(Oops -the sketch I used has closed.  Oh, well...)

From a picture

For this week's challenge for Joan's Touch I got to use something I have hoarded for a long time - since 2003, to be exact.  I had a mini calendar for that year, with a Thomas Kincade photo for each day.  I could not bear to throw-  them out - but I think this is the first I have used.  I cut it with a Spellbinder Majestic Elements oval, and layered regular ovals and a larger Majestic Element - just fit the frame.  That is an embossing folder available at Joans Gardens.  I added some half pearls and a scroll in the corner.  The frame is on cream cs.  The corner die is one I seldom use.  I am practicing more and more with the Majestic Elements set, so they are not so neglected.

Framed in Green

This card just about set a record.  I made it early this morning, added it to my computer file, and took it to church so it could go with some items we are gifting to a person who has had some hard times - she is moving into a new (to her) apartment in a few days.  Now I see that the green in the frame really does not show on the screen - trust me, it is there!
I  used the Scrollwork Frame (Cuttlebug) sold at Joan's Gardens.  I also bought the leafy branch from Joan - not sure if it is still available.  I used the green ink pad to ink the frame before embossing - the same ink as for stamping the JustRite Fancy Tags.  The image is from A Day for Daisies - colored with Prismas.  I added a jewel - I seldom use them as they are bulky, but this card will not be mailed.
