White on white

New:  Verve Faith Medley stamp; green gel pen; new (to me) use of border punch "over the edge"
Old: Swiss Dots (CB) EF; Cheery Lynn butterfly die, Martha Stewart leafy punch, Hampton Art stamp and chalk pencil (lavender); Spellbinder Majestic element oval; gems; sheer ribbon.
The fancy ovals are layered over the stamped oval layer.

Springy green and cream

The Unity image is stamped in Garden Green on cream cs.  I used a water brush to lightly color in the dot shaped leaves - with the same ink.  The sentiment is from American Crafts - a set of library stamps.  The hunter green cs, striped DP and bit of ribbon have all been in my collection for a long time.

Vintage look

This is a style I often go back to - I like the crisp look of a dark color and white, with embossing.  I think you can see the hearts from the Sizzix EF.  Not so sure you can see the embossing on theouter circle - from the Spellbinders Majestic Elements.  Some of the circles cut and emboss, others emboss only.  I keep experimenting.  This time I cut the appropriate circle in purple cs, then placed it so that it would emboss the design on the mat.  Yeah!  the size was just right - wish the embossing would show better on the screen.
The image is a pre-colored freebie - I think the site is called antique images.  The sentiment could be used for different occasions, indluding a birthday.

Purple Flowers

I am not sure this color combo works as well as I had hoped - I have another card with this green and lilac that I like much better.  The image is from my stash - using Versamark and chalk.  The DP strip is Costco double sided cs - I bought that box of cs a long time ago.

Sympathy, purple and white

If you look through my blog, you will see that this style is one of my favorites, although I seldom seem to stamp with colored ink - though I have a good collection of inks!  This uses a Whiff of Joy sentiment and I think the border is Verve, cut and embossed with Nesties dies.  The punch is EK Success, and the vellum dove is from a Cheery Lynn set purchased at Joan's Gardens.  The bg is CB Swiss Dots.  Embossing and die cuts were done on my Cuttlebug.

Black and white sympathy

Unfortunately, I frequently need sympathy cards, for myself and for customers.
Right now we are asking for prayers for friends and their family - their son-in-law, Glen (in his 50's), fell down a long cement staircase.  He is in a coma, and the family has been called home as the prognosis is not good.
This is a digital image from TLC Creations.  It is a lovely image, and great to use with the shading and background.  The white layer is CB Victoria.  I clipped the corners to follow the sketch.  A layered Nestie, Martha Stewart punched border, and ribbon complete the card - easy, and in my estimation, elegant.

Not the Nice Nurse

These digis are both from Bugaboo.  The wilting plant is such a fun touch!  The coloring is with Prismas, and I used some DP from my endless stash.  The paper tape is Martha Stewart; the flower is Petaloo.

What heavenly body???

I'm sorry about the bad scan - still learning a new printer - and maybe I can even graduate to photos!
I think this image by Rubbernecker, and the Art Impressions sentiment, make a classic look!!!  The dp is Rcollections, flowers by Petaloo, Pizzazz Aplenty ribbon, coloring with Prismas.

Happy 90th, Bette

I just learned that Bette will be 90 on Sunday, so I will get this card in the mail now!  Bette is a member of our "summer" church in Colorado. Last year, she retired from her volunteer job as church financial secretary.  She is always available to help with church coffees, pot lucks, etc.  A fall this winter has curtailed these activities.  She is deserving of special honors!
I used 3 dp's (DCWV,, Paper Pizzazz,), buttons, numbers (CB), crystals, and rhinestones; 2 ribbons.  The image is from clip art, and I did the name on the computer.
