Springtime Cowboy

HAPPY VALENTINES DAY!

I hope your day is a good one.    I am so blessed - no need for chocolates or even flowers - just so thankful for having a loving DH who is so supportive.

Not sure who made this cute cowboy - he looks like he is ready for spring to get out for a ride!
I colored with some shiny gel pens - a bit of sheen and texture IRL.  I used scraps of DP, some twine, and Basic Grey tape to complete the look.

Western Father's Day

This western image is an older set from Mark's Finest Papers. The sentiment is really old and has no label.  I used my brand new Vagabond die cut machine to emboss - I am afraid my cuttlebug is dying from overuse!  I have lots to learn, but I really liked the results of the Vagabond in some limited tries.  And I got a good deal at Joann's, so I am pretty satisfied.  This is the CB Argyle folder.  I completed the card with a brad and shiny brown twine.

Shaped card for several challenges

I needed a simple card for a note to a friend - and this is a chance for me to try using dies for a card base.
Challenge:  create a shaped card:

and   http://alotarubberstamps.blogspot.com/

and also:  http://sentimentalsundays.blogspot.com/

I used stamps from the MFP Born Free set, stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black on cream cs..  I embossed both Labels 4 shapes, and sponged with brown chalk, and added a tie of Chocolate Latte Dream String from Pizzazz Aplenty.
I started this blog as a spot to show some of my challenge cards - and have not had time to pretty it up!
