For my sister - version 2

Another card for my sister who long ago had dreams of being a concert violinist - and who has played in several orchestras. The image is one of so many freebies posted by TLC in Facebook.  I used papers from a collection called Heirloom, and added a bit of gold cord.  Too late for Christmas, but I made a couple to send to my sister - maybe she can use them as notecards.  I forgot to measure, and they went in the mail today, but they are about 5x7. I cut the image with decorative scissors.

for my sister

I saw this image and had to make something for my sister.  She has played in an orchestra, and likes vintage.  I hope she likes this - even though it is too late for Christmas this year.  Image is by TLC - one of a huge collection of freebies.  This may be a stretch for the :"dream" theme, but long ago her dream was to be an accomplished violinist.

Christmas 2019 - 5.5 x 8.5

This is a 5.5 x 8.5 card using some cs from my Hope and Faith pack.  I cut around the top of the angels to make that panel fit!  Punched stars, and gold strip and cord to finish the card.  I need to get this in the mail LOL!

Crafter's Cafe Dec. 15 challenge

We hope you will join us for the current challenge at the Crafter's Cafe....Holidays  OR
I spy with my little eye something beginning with C .  As you can see, I have covered  both aspects of the challenge.  The image is from QKR Stampede.  I fussy cut two candles so they could be layered with more dimension.  I used a bit of grey to highlight the white candle.  I used DP from my stash, and also found the tag in my stash of paper,  Check out the details of the challenge as well as delightful examples from fellow team members here.

Christmas 2019

I am trying to complete a few more Christmas cards, even as it is time to get them in the mail!  OK, next year I really will start earlier!  Once again I am taking advantage of a colored image by Beccy.  The sentiment is from her same Nativity collection.  The oval die cuts are with Spellbinders.

Christmas 2019 Pocket card

Sorry for the terrible photo.
I used my Christmas papers for a pocket card (scored and folded at top and bottom as well as side flaps).    The card is to hold an ornament and probably a check or gift card for grandchildren.  I try to make a card to display or for an ornament.  I used the freebie ornament  from Beccy's place - both the colored and black and white.  However, I found it hard to color the tiny holly leaves - just cannot see well enough!  On the "back" ornament I paper pieced part of the ornament to go with the colored holly.  Thanks, Beccy.

Christmas 2019 - shabby

The edges are shabby, and I added burlap for a shabbier look.  I think the colors and shading also add to the feel.  T he starry bg paper is from the Hope and Fauth paper pad. No red or green in sight this time!

Crafter's Cafe Challenge 232 - One Layer OR Window

I used my window die from Poppystamps with the pretty sunflower from Morgan's Artworld. I colored the image with chalk pencils for a soft look. I chose the background paper because it reminds me of the sky and grass.  I added some branches from Cheery Lynn dies, and a sentiment from the first Cuttlebug set I bought - years ago,   We hope you will join this challenge at the Crafter's Cafe You can use the theme of a window, or create a one layer card.:
