Thanks to Evelyn

This is similar to yesterday's card  the sketch and bg are different.
Image - TLC pre colored freebie;  papers - Lily of the Valley; Recolllections watercolor; die cut by Cheery Lynn.
New - scored card base (a friend got a new box full at a yard sale and gave it to me).  I seldom make 8.5 x 5.5 cards, but this included 100 envelopes so I may as well use them!  I will give this card - and more - to her as a thank you.
New:  the TLC image has been in my file but this is my first time to use it.

For Barb

This goes to a friend who is facing a long recovery from a broken hip.  If you have seen recent posts you know I have had too many cards like this to send!  You will also notice I get in a routine using similar items - often they are still on my desk and just handy to grab!  The stencil is one of a set I purchased years ago at a local store (long since gone).  The owner cut larger sheets of a type of very thin plastic into 3x6 pieces.  There are small circles, larger circles, tiny stars, hexagons and a couple of others.  I tend to forget about them, but they are handy to use.  IRL the color of the chalk is a better match than it appears on the screen.  I added sequins, Washi tape, and the Cheery Lynn Blessings die cut.  The TLC pre colored image has been in my folder for a while.

Sympathy for Evelyn

We belatedly learned that a friend of ours had lost her son during the summer.  It seems a bit late to send a sympathy card, so I made this one to let her know we are thinking of her.  I used some DP from my stash, and embossed the mocha piece with my Victoria embossing folder.  The Blessings is from a Cheery Lynn die, and the butterflies are punched.  Even though the loss of a loved one is a sad occasion, Evelyn shares the belief that we have a glorious life to look forward to.  Edited:  I should have added that her son was middle aged.

Confirmation greetings for Mabry

I have almost finished the series of cards to send to recent confirmands at our church.  For these 9th graders, this is a very important milestone in their faith journey, and I wanted to commemorate it for them.  The image is Sweet 'n Sassy, colored with shiny Joy gel pens.  The edging of the Bible is colored with a Sakura jelly roll pen that turns a shiny gold. The die is Cheery Lynn, and the papers from a pad called Faith by Paper Studio.  I added the negative pieces from shiny gold stickers as an accent. I really like burgundy with neutrals.

SCS DTGD - cook22 challenge - a pocket card

This was a fun pocket card to make.  I added a flowerpunched swirls, die cuts, Cheery Lynn Blessings die cut, and a book mark. The bg was embossed, then soaked in a bit of coffee. To enhance the look, I sprinkled on some dry granulated instant coffee to add to the vintage look.  This was first posted in my SCS gallery on Aug. 5.

Blessings Thank you

I need several thank you cards for members of a church group.  This Cheery Lynn Blessings die cut is great for cards such as this.  The Asterisk are from Cuttlebug dies that were among the first dies I ever purchased.  I used miscellaneous papers and a shiny gem to complete the card.  Inside reads "Thank you for the blessing you are to others."
I think my favorite embellishment is the one I am using, but I am very partial to die cuts and gems! : Creative Knockouts

September floral

I am still trying to catch up on challenges as well as replenishing my stash.  This card will go out soon - my sister's September birthday is in another week.  This is a bit of nostalgia for me - my father (who passed away over 40 years ago) always gave bronze colored flowers to my mother - her birthday was actually in October.  I used copper Twinkling H2O ink - what a lovely shimmer.  The Kraft bg is embossed with Lifestyle Crafts "Vine".  The Blessings is my Cheery Lynn, and I used a button and ribbon from my stash.

Red, white and blue

Once again, I am dipping into my stash - several years ago Dh and I, together with fellow rvers, sent well over 100 care packages to the military.  Now I would like to get more involved in sending cards to various organizations and individuals.  This happens to be for a friend.  I used Washi tape for the banners, and shimmery cs for the embossing.  I colored with chalk pencils, and used a favorite - the versatile Blessings die from Cheery Lynn.
