25th birthday

I often make cards requested by friends - this is for the daughter of a friend.  I like the papers, but should have done something the liven up the over all look.  Ideas, any one?
Supplies:  Papers from my stash - mostly gifts - I used the same DP as the middle panel to cut the numbers and flourish.  Numbers - cuttlebug die; flourish by Die-Namics - cut aparr; strips and daughter sticker - Dazzles.

CASEing

I need to replenish my supply of sympathy cards.
Supplies:  Swiss dots embossing folder (Cuttlebug); Cheery Lynn butterfly die; various DP scraps.  This may seem like an unusual choice, but this stamp is a favorite for the front of sympathy cards (Paper Inspirations).  I used Tenia Nelson's card as inspiration for my case - primarily for the layout.

On the beach

Here are more of the Art Impression pop-up ladies - obviously having a great time at the beach!  They are die cut and pre-colored. The sentiment is a part of the collection.   I used some of my supply of Sugartree bg paper.  There is shiny glitter on the "water", and I added textured ribbon and a gem.

A tailored look

The stripe is from a sticker sheet - I have had a set for quite a while but have not used them much - and I discovered how difficult it is to adhere this large piece - it is definitely sticky and hard to adjust once it adheres!  Other supplies - Swiss dots embossing folder;  washi tape strip, gold sticker strip; Sizzix HB die; Cuttlebug asterisk dies.

anniversary

This card is definitely outside the box for me.  I need to do that once in a while.  This is based on the original inspiration card for the monthly CASE challenge at Stamplorations - thanks, Tenia.  I kind of kept the layout and the bright colored panel.  I needed an anniversary card, so I used thedie cut from a Cuttlebug die.  I dry embossed the narrow strip.  The die cut, mat, and strip are all Stardream Metallic Neptune, available at classy Cards and Such. The image is colored with metallic gel pens.

Good by, friends

This will be used for group signatures - our friends have been coming to this park every summer for well over 10 years, and this will be their last summer.  We will still see them at our winter home, but many others will probably not see them again.  Both have been active in park activities.  John is an avid fisherman, and he runs the horse shoe tournaments.  Rita leads Silver Stretchers and water aerobics.  I tried to incorporate bits of several of the activities.  I used the sentiment Best Wishes - it is just too difficult to make it "good by".Image by Art Impressions, and sentiment die by Elisabeth Craft Designs.

Happy 25th to Joe and Kathy

Members of our RV park often come to me for special cards, and here is another.  Joe and Kathy will celebrate a 25th anniversary,  Their friends wrote a verse, including a reference to fireworks after 25 years.  I knew I had this fireworks DP in my stash, so I built the card around it. The image is from my digi file.  The flourish is Die-namics. The letters and numbers are from various die sets.  I used Paper Studio glitter cs for the dies and the scalloped circle.  The card is 5.25 x7.25 - to fit a silver envelope I happen to have in the motor home!

New Verve stamps - my Mojo prize last month.  Thank you!   On the other hand, the DP is some I have been hoarding for a long time!  The bg is embossed with the Cuttlebug Happy Birthday folder.

Sympathy - grey and cream

These papers are lovely - from a pad whose cover has vanished and I lost track of the brand - it does have several great papers.  I try to keep sympathy cards subtle, and I think this reflects that.  The mats are a medium grey, and the top layers shimmery silver cs from Recollections  - it is especially great for dry embossing. The stamps are from a new Verve set just received as a prize from Mojo Monday - thank you!

This wonderful image was sent to my by a friend at Splitcoaststampers.  I think that it is a combination of Bad Axe images.  I added a sentiment from Unity, some Washi tape, and a clear rain drop.  Thanks, Sketch Saturday, for a sketch that lets me use a larger image!

Tattered Lace x 3

I have had this Tattered Lace die for a while and have not used it a lot though I really like it.  This card is based totally on a sample in their magazine (issue 8). It is 4.75 x 6.5.  The sentiment is Unity, and I added some gems and a sheer ribbon bow.  The bg CS is teal.

Our internet reception is better so I can catch up a little!  Once again I am using the Art Impression pop ups - preprinted punch out die cuts.  I used the second layer for the little table - to add some dimension - as well as the verse and ribbon.  I edged the main image with blut ink.

I used shimmery cs in silver as well as dark grey cs.  The butterfly is Cheery Lynn, and the sentiment part of a new set from Verve.  Embossing is Swiss dots and stylized flowers.  I have to thank my friend Dorothy for pointing out this shimmery cs - I am using it a lot!

Happy 103rd

Some of you may have seen previous posts for these milestone birthdays - I think this is the 4th year that I have made a card for the (much) older sister of a friend of mine.  I hope this will be special for her.  Hulda's eyesight and hearing are failing, but she takes no medication!  Blessings for her.

Simple life

By now you have probably seen several of the Art Impressions pop-ups - this guy looks like a lot of our neighbors in our RV resort!  I had some bits of My Minds Eye Dp that fit the theme, and used Kraft for the base..  The inside verse:  "God out me one this earth to accomplish a certain number of things.  Right now I am so far behind I will never die."
Sketch:   http://cheerfulsketcheschallenge.blogspot.nl/

With a flourish

I am trying to dig into my stash of DP - can't hoard it forever!   The verse is from Out Daily Breat birthday set.  I cut the flourish with a Joanna Sheen die, and I added a strip of pale yellow lace.  The mat CS is a dark grey.

At the salon

I have many of the Art Impressions pop ups (sort of like pre colored die cuts to punch out) to use - thanks for a sketch that works!  There are four layers for the main image, and I managed to squeeze in the accessory pieces.  So this card uses the entire sheet.  The pop ups come 4 sheets to a pack.  I used the Embossabilitiies birthday folder for the bg.

(The blue is not a part of the card).  Sorry for the really bad image - it looks much better IRL.  I can't seem to do white!  I thried something new for this card - the main layer is first embossed with Cuttlebug Textile, then embossed with the Darice sympathy folder.  I added a sheer white ribbon and Cheery Lynn tiny flower die cuts.
