CAS - an experiment that does not work for me

CAS is definitely not my style - I'll do layers any day!  Thought I would try this - but will do something ese next time!  I used chalk to match the card base, and embossed the LifeStyle Crafts tree.  It does qualify as a card representing the USA - trees all over.  However, I am sure that no matter where you go in the world, there will be trees - maybe just not as many.

Inspired Birthday

The photo at Our Daily Bread this week inspired me to use the blue background - the wood look reminds me of the back of the cupboard.  The embossing is inspired by the wood front, and there are flowers in a container. I also used scallops as a trim.  The image is Our Daily Bread - colored with Prismas -thPetaloo flowers and blue gems for a long time - the Washi tape is fairly new.  I have so many favorite embellishments - here I used gems, flowers and washi tape.

Our brother-in-law will be 87 next week.  He volunteers for meals at the Senior Center, and enjoys wearing unusual hats to entertain the guests.  I thought this fit - it is an image that has been in my stash for a long time (WishRAK at Splitcoaststampers) - it could be AI.  Nesties, DP, washi tape, twine, a border punch and my new American Crafts library stamp complete the supplies used.

Rita's birthday

A good friend is celebrating her 80th birthday this week.  I wanted to make a special card, and thought of one from several weeks ago.  I used many of the same elements and many different ones:  Paper Studio dp, Basic Grey paper tape, cream rick rack and ribbon, walnut spray on pink cs for the numbers, Kraft cs.

Masculine Thanks

I need a thank you for a guy who does handyman projects - and found this image I had stamped during a get together with another stamper (and forgot to identify!).  The Ribbon Trends tape measure was great with this sketch!  Dry embossing is one of many favorite techniques - this is the Thank You folder.  The look is completed with Recollections tape and a masculine brad.
