2 cards for Crafter's Cafe DT - Beach Bear by

For this challenge #196  at the Crafter's Cafe I created 2 cards.  The theme is  All Creatures Great and Small - this Pearl - Beach Bear certainly fits - and is adorable, as well.  The set, from Wink Wink Ink,  comes with a black and white drawing to color, and a pre-colored image as well.  Since I could not decide which to use - I made 2 cards.

Hand colored image

Coloring with chalk pencils; sea shore papers by Debbie Mumm; Washi Tape; Spellbinder dies.

This Wink, Wink, Ink image, Pearl - Beach Bear, is pre-colored.  I used Debbie Mumm papers that reminded me of a beach scene, and tied it together with a bit of twine.

Easter Blessings 2018

This card will be late - just have not had time until today!  Image and sentiment from QKR Stampede; papers from an old stack called Garden Party (DCWV). I used teal, brown, and green in addition to the base white and black ink.

Not so happy with this one

I was disappointed when I put the final touches on this - I did flip the sketch so the bird was facing mid card rather than the edge - does this bother any one else?  But in doing this I misjudged the size of the vertical strip - too much dotted area and not enough of the other patterns.  I plan a re-do.  The bird image was a single stamp from a yard sale - it is SU but I have no idea of the name.  Coloring is with water color pencils.  Papers by Lily of the Valley.   I distressed the edge of the circle and the edges of the papers. The Washi tape strip is from a new roll.

This angel is called Caroling Angel.  I trimmed her with gold and a bit of copper.  Please join us at the QKR Stampede challenge this week.  The challenges are always Anything Goes, and it is up to you if you wish to choose the option (Angels).  The use of QKR Stampede images is also optional - there is a separate QKR Stampede winner who gets additional images.  You may enter up to 3 times by 3 p.m. Thursday.
Both sentiments are computer generated.  A bit of copper ric rac separates the pieces of DP.

Strong coffee

Well, I don't like super strong coffee, but I don't care for weak brew either.   My addiction is hazelnut cafe by Maxwell House International - I can prepare a cup at home whenever I feel the urge!
This image and sentiment are part of a freebie from Verve - from a year ago, I think.  Thanks!  The DP is from a DCWV Fall stack.  The band is sheer fall ribbon from Michael's and the die is Spellbinder Labels 4.

Imagine that -new release

As soon as I saw this Imagine that Digistamp new release featuring manatees I knew I wanted to make something for our granddaughter.  Each of the sets includes positive, encouraging sentiments for young people.  Our granddaughter is an elementary teacher.  She encourages reading, and has a good collection of books so she can read to the students.  Many of them do not receive enough encouragement at home.  I made a set of 6x9 posters - I hope she will be able to place them on her bulletin board.  Her birthday is this week, so this was a little bonus gift.
Recipe:  image and sentiments - Imaginethatdigistamp; Washi tape; watercolor paper, dark teal cs.
I used a watercolor wash for the background.  I used a paintbrush to brush on the watered down color, then spattered another color to create the lighter blobs.  I hope you can tell I meant for this to remind us of a watery, wavy background for the manatee.  The manatee is colored with Prismas and cut with scissors.
