On the road this summer

This gave me a chance to use some of the stamps in a set that I have almost never used - I just. seem to keep running out of time!  A note on the design - I used chalk to highlight the embossing.  For the bg, I chalked the folder, and for the sentiment I chalked the cs.  Also, as I was preparing to emboss the Happy Birthday strip I noticed a scrap of white on the table - decided to go with the torn edge look and use that tiny scrap! (Waste not...)  The diagonal stripes are from a piece of Stick n Tape.

I like how you used the chalks to accent the design principles of your card. I too have this stamp set and have only used it a handful of times. Your card is fabulous inspiration for me to pull mine out. Thank you for joining me at Chalk ah Lot.
