This is another in a series of cards I am sending to recently confirmed young women in our church. Image - Sweet N Sassy, colored with gel pens' Blessings by Cheery Lynn, papers from Paper Studio Faith collection.

Silhouette Christmas 2017
I am still experimenting with my new Nativity die. I used a center step card bas. The mat is dark blue, and washi tape was just the right width for the next layer. The die manufaturer is unnamed. The swirls are from a Spellbinder set. The sentiment is from QKR Stampede. I used a star stencil and chalk for the sky. I hope this qualifies for the pop up theme. The star stencil has been in my stash a long time- first time I used it.

Silhouette Nativity
I have been looking for a Nativity die, and just got this - now I realize I am not sure how best to use it. Your suggestions/references/links are most welcome. I embossed the bg. with snowflakes and distressed stripes. I cut the die in black, then used a small piece of shimmery old gold to back the rays at the top. I used a circle die the right size, and cut a half circle. I then trimmed a bit so it would not show behind the frame of the stable, leaving enough of the gold to back the star. Alternatively, I could die cut the star and place it in the opening - and have no gold behind the rays. Hubby suggested cutting the rays in gold, but that is too much delicate cutting and gluing for me! The base mat is a deep red, almost burgundy and the ribbon is metallic gold.

Confirmation greetings for Mabry
I have almost finished the series of cards to send to recent confirmands at our church. For these 9th graders, this is a very important milestone in their faith journey, and I wanted to commemorate it for them. The image is Sweet 'n Sassy, colored with shiny Joy gel pens. The edging of the Bible is colored with a Sakura jelly roll pen that turns a shiny gold. The die is Cheery Lynn, and the papers from a pad called Faith by Paper Studio. I added the negative pieces from shiny gold stickers as an accent. I really like burgundy with neutrals.

Christmas Candle - QKR Stampede Design Team for challenge #262
This week the Anything Goes challenge at QKR Stampede has the optional twist of "embossing". For me, that is a super easy challenge, as I use dry embossing frequently. You may enter the challenge as many as 3 times. There are two prizes (QKR digis) offered - for an entry using a QKR Stampede or Eureka image, and for an entry using any image. Entries close at 3 pm EDT Thursday.
This card uses a QKR image called Candle as well as a QKR sentiment. The embossing is Snowflakes. I am disappointed in the screen appearance - IRL the glittery glow around the candle flame is much more subdued - just hard to capture in a visual. My favorite color could change daily, but the deep red (almost burgundy) of the mats, combined with white, is a perennial favorite.

Confirmation blessings
This is one of several cards I am making to send to 5 young women who were just confirmed in our church. This is a special event in their faith journey, and I want to acknowledge this. The image is one I have had quite a while from Sweet n' Sassy, and the die cut is by Cheery Lynn. The papers are from a pad called Faith, by Paper Studio.

Strong coffee
Well, I don't like super strong coffee, but I don't care for weak brew either. My addiction is hazelnut cafe by Maxwell House International - I can prepare a cup at home whenever I feel the urge!
This image and sentiment are part of a freebie from Verve - from a year ago, I think. Thanks! The DP is from a DCWV Fall stack. The band is sheer fall ribbon from Michael's and the die is Spellbinder Labels 4.

Recycled Christmas card 9-16-17
I added the snowflake embossing folder - maybe they look like stars? The sheer gold ribbon and gold metallic cs add an elegant touch. The background of the recycled image is a muted gold, though it looks black on my screen! The images are white.

Soaring - QKR Stampede DT challenge #261 - Anything Goes
This week's challenge at QKR Stampede is, as always, anything goes - no option this time, so let your imagination take over! You may enter as many as 3 times. Winners receive QKR images - if you use a QKR/Eureka image you win additional images. Join us before 3 p.m.Thursday Sept. 21. Winners are posted Friday when there is a new challenge.
This flying elephant is the image called "floating away". Both the image and sentiment can be found in the store here. I lightly colored the elephant with brown water color pencil. (I used my aqua pen to soften the color.). I am sure he is floating among the stars! The balloons are also water colored. I fussy cut the image before adhering it to the bg. Serendipity - I have a pad called Beau Papier that includes this page with the houses - and I finally found a way to use one! I added gems to create doorknobs - they are a tad large but that is all I could find.

Imagine That GD card - 9/14/17
This is my inspiration card for this week's Imaginethatdigistamp post. I used the outline image, sentiment, and pink butterfly paper from this set called Frieda's Flower Basket, which you can see here. The set includes a pre-colored image, which I used to inspire, though I changed the color. I fussy cut the butterfly but adhered it to the original spot. I also cut the sentiment to use in separate locations. The die is Spellbinders Labels 5. In addition to the included DP, I used a piece from a recent prize - pad of papers from Zeeman, a Dutch company. - sponsored by Cuttlebug Mania (Jannie).
