Baby Girl Congrats

Yesterday I completed a card for a boy, and I decided to add a companion baby girl card to my inventory. I used the same Debbie Mumm papers, but in pink.  I cut apart the letters to add to the banner (for the sketch).  I usually forget to add glitter, but I did Stickle the letters and the button brads.  Ribbon and tiny pink crystals complete the card.

Baby Boy congrats

Once again, I am working on building up my inventory.  This will be the only baby card for now!  Not much stamping, but I keep looking for ways to use the adorable Debbie Mumm DP - I have a lot, I think it is cute, but it is a challenge to use.  I cheated a bit, and used the same pattern for the bg, but I turned the right hand panel on its side - works fine as it would hardly show.  Maybe I should do a similar one in pink.  I have very few suitable baby images.  I used edging scissors for some of the edges.
I used some fiber (something on a spool) to complete this challenge:  http://ribboncarouselchallenge.blogspot.com

The sketch is here:  http://seemsalittlesketchy.blogspot.com/
For this challenge, I used the word "baby", and had a theme of baby, boy and the color blue:  http://shoppingourstash.blogspot.com/   I have had the fibers for a very long time, and the Debbie Mumm DP has been in my stash for over a year.

Faith is an important favorite word

This is not the kind of card I usually make, but I am quite happy with the results.
Here is a challenge to use no designer paper, so the panels use the textile CB and repeated stamping of the word "Faith" (ODB):  http://www.ourdailybreaddesignsblog.blogspot.com/search/label/Shining%20the%20Light%20Challenge
This calls for a card based on a favorite word:  http://simonsaysstampandshow.blogspot.com/
I based mine on this sketch:  http://dancinginpajamas.blogspot.com/
Dry embossing is called for here:  http://craftsandmechallenges.blogspot.com/
I used white and light peach cs.  Some ink is a light coral, and the main image is a light rust.
Stamps are ODB and part of a dollar sentiment stamp - the complete phrase is Just For You but that did not fit on a small oval so I improvised.  The die cuts are Nesties ovals and eyelet circles.  Light coral ribbon is the finishing touch.

Ready for Showers

At SplitCoastStampers I participate in a fun weekly challenge called TeaPot Tuesdays.  In addition to creating cards, we have the option of sending our card to a selected destination - usually to cheer up someone experiencing difficulties.  This week's challenge is not yet posted - I will include the link later.  However, we may send a second card this week, and this could be my choice.
I used a Stamping Bella image, Belinda Bumbleboots.  She is colored with chalk pencils and gel pen highlights.  The paper is by Debbie Mumm.
This illustrates the song "Singing in the Rain" - (I fondly recall that and many other musicals):  http://clearitoutchallenge.blogspot.com/  (My stash items - the ribbon and dp - I have a lot and it is going slowly!)
I selected Marie's pretty card to case: http://theresmagicintheair.blogspot.com/

Floral sympathy in blue grey

I like sympathy cards in soft colors and without too many embellishments.  I felt this sketch worked well for me.  I still have lots of this DP - from a pad from Big Lots.  The image is Hampton Art, and sentiment Rubber Stampede (I really need more sympathy sentiments - I should have had a smaller one here.)  I have had my SU Stampin' Spots for a long time and most are still good.  This is Brocade Blue.  I added some clear crystals.

I chose one of the optional sketches - thttp://sundaysketchandstamp.blogspot.com/
I used a pastel blue palette:  http://stampinsistersinchrist.blogspot.com/
