The Crafter's Cafe challenge #198 - Lots of Layers

This is my card for challenge #198 at the Crafter's Cafe.  Please join us during the next two weeks. The theme is lots of layers, and this sketch is perfect.  In some spots, there are 9 layers.  I used papers from my stash, and a piece that is probably upholstery trim for the corner squares.  That adds some nice dimension.  The image, Drummer Boy, is from one of our sponsors - Cute as a Button. The sentiment is a part of the image.

Hi Dorothy, I love your card and yes this design has plenty of layers. I counted mine and I think it had 12 layers as I had put a white layer between the coloured card and design paper as it wasn't a perfect match and it also highlights the design paper. This coming weeks sketch has about the same amount of layers. I love your card and your wonderful colours and design papers you've used. It a great way to use up some of those scraps that we all have that are just too big to throw out. Great card and thanks so much for your second entry here at Sweet Sketch Wednesday 2 and good luck.

Oh my, you packed a lot of layers on this lovely card Dorothy! The music background is just perfect for the Christmas Carol sentiment and I love the texture on your design.
Thanks for sharing with us at ABC Christmas Challenges and I hope you will join us again soon.
