Oval window

I have a lovely Madison window die - but it has decided to go into hiding - or maybe it is in the witness protection program.  So I cut a "window" with the oval nestie, and added a scalloped border on the outside - not really too visible on the screen.  (and the mysterious blotches have reappeared.  I need to do some serious checking on that.)  Coloring is by Pastel chalk pencils, and the sentiment from my computer.  DP is Paper Studio.Sketch:  http://sketchsaturday.blogspot.com/

Your focal image is displayed nicely in the border you chose - and I really like the texture of the gold star - nicely done!
I was thinking about your splotches [which I didn't notice till you mentioned it] - are you photographing it or scanning? Either way, could your lens or the glass plate in the scanner be dirty?? Because it appears translucent I am thinking maybe fingerprints? Good luck Dorothy! Thanks for sharing your project in the “Any Sentiment” Challenge.

Sorry you couldn't find your window die Dorothy... if you're anything like me you've put it in a nice safe place. So safe it will be missing for the next couple of months! Anyway, I think your card looks great with the oval window. The simple shape works really well with the lovely image. I've seen a few Mary and Joseph stamps in this style and I always think of stained glass windows. Great job!
Cheers,
Beccy
