Guest Designer - Stick it Down

Thanks to the team at Stick it Down for selecting me to be a guest designer for January.  They provided a great sketch, and this is my card.  I just received a cute packet of birthday items from Try Stampin on Tuesday - perfect for a card for our daughter-in-law.  I added a swirly circle die cut from Memory Box.  Check out the January posts at Stick it Down here.  You have until the end of January to enter using the sketch for the month.

A snowy thanks

This is for a grandson and his wife who live in Alaska.  I thought this would be appropriate for them!  One of my goals for the year (again) is to make a bit of a dent in my stash of images and other supplies.  And once again I did not keep track of the origin of this cute snowman!  He is trying to keep warm with that scarf!  The die cut is from an older Cuttlebug set.  I added a bit of glitter to the snow..some of it just looks like blobs on the screen!

Craafter's Cafe challenge 234

Since I live in Arizona, I could not resist this image from Decosse's Dynamite Doodles.  It is from a collection called Chasing Rainbows, and the sentiment from a set named Cotton Candy.
I used a mix of embossing powder over the dry embossed cs to try to creeate a rusty look to back up the desert scene.  I hope you will check out our challenges at the Crafter's Cafe - for a chance to win some great digis.  This time, the theme is Keep it Simple.  Our challenges run for two weeks.  Hope to see you there!

Another anniversary lighthouse

Another version of a previous card -for another late anniversary greeting.  This couple also enjoys RV travel along the Oregon coast - and so do we.  This is such a lovely vintage picture - a freebie from TLC.  It was new to me to make these cards.   The sun is die cut from what was probably my first Cuttlebug purchase all those years ago -from an alphabet set I think is called Olivia.  I tried to die the edges of the image with coffee - did not turn out too well!

Vintage light house

I was late with an anniversary greeting - so thought this was appropriate.  I used a lovely vintage light house scene from TLC - great freebie!  The recipients enjoy travel along the Oregon coast - lots of light houses to see!  NEW:  though the image is vintage, I just got it from the TLC FB page.  I also used a gold sprig for the first time.  The circle cuts are Spellbinder dies.
